ABOUT DREAMJOBBING
DREAMJOBBING HELPS STUDENTS DISCOVER THEIR CAREER PASSIONS AND THE PATH TO MAKE THEIR DREAMS REALITY

YOUTH OF THE YEAR
Many of the Boys & Girls Clubs chapters are using DreamJobbing as a tool for their Youth of the Year. The DreamJobbing program can be used as a tangible resource and requirement for Youth of the Year applicants as teen members can use the course at their own pace, grow their professional skills, and create local community awareness and involvement.
Various clubs are using the following from DreamJobbing to reinforce the Youth of the Year mission:
-
Teach professional, personal branding
-
Showcase 1- min. student video profiles/cover letters at galas & dinners
-
Teach how to dress for success
-
Teach how to conduct an informational interview with professionals
-
Teens learn valuable career advice from local community professionals
-
Teens discover their career paths using the DreamJobbing toolkit, and speak about this in their Youth of the Year essays and speeches
-
The club can get the local community involved and spread awareness by having local professionals participate in the program.

CO-FOUNDER BIOS
DreamJobbing.com and this course were created by three visionary award-winning TV Producers- Lisa Hennessy, Alex Boylan and Burton Roberts.

Lisa Hennessy was one of the original members of Mark Burnett Productions - the company that brought you Survivor, Contender, The Voice and Shark Tank to name a few. She is an Emmy Nominated producer and has executive produced 100’s of hours of Network TV including Eco-Challenge, Rock Star, Contender, Biggest Loser, etc. She has mentored 100’s of young people over the course of her prolific career and hired 1000s. She has spoken to young people across the country about dreaming big and finding a career path you love.

Alex Boylan is also an Emmy-Nominated Producer. At the age of 24, he won the Amazing Race. From there he went on to host, produce and created 100’s of hours of TV. He co-founded the production company Around the World Productions with fellow DreamJobbing Co-founder Burton Roberts. Alex loves inspiring young people and along with Lisa has traveled to classrooms across the country.

After getting his MBA from Kellogg, Burton had a career in Silicon Valley. In 2001 he heard about a race/adventure series called Eco-Challenge. He was then cast on the mega hit Survivor. He got bit by the TV bug and went on to co-found Around the World Productions with Alex Boylan. Burton is a proud Eagle Scout and believes strongly in being of service to others.
